Check for Power Cable Installation Area in Control Panel

    Dear customers,

Re: Check for Power Cable Installation Area in Control Panel

In December 2018, it was reported that the area where power cables were tightened to the control panel in a machine used by our customer had been partially damaged by fire. Our investigation has found that the cables were not securely tightened to the panel and the loose connection generated heat. It was fortunate that the fire had been detected and extinguished early with no personal injuries or large fire accident reported.

In order to determine what caused the loose connection of the cables, we are now investigating our works and inspection during the shipment, including operation conditions from delivery to the present. Since machine can be used for more than 30 years, periodic check is indispensable for its safety and proper use. We believe prompt report of such cases that might cause personal injury or large damage is essential for customers to prevent accidents.

We kindly ask you to check again if the power cables are completely tightened to the control panel in your machines. For this check, please be advised that you should pay full attention to safety issues. Turn off the master switch first to avoid electric shock or any accidents from happening.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact our headquarters or service staff.
We appreciate your continuous cooperation and support.
